Susan Booth

Chief Executive

The Ehlers-Danlos Support UK

Susan Booth is Chief Executive of The Ehlers-Danlos Support UK, a role she has held since 2023. Her leadership focuses on financial sustainability, sector-leading public affairs work, creating systemic change within the NHS and transformative data and digital initiatives. With a career in the charity sector spanning over 25 years, Susan has worked across a diverse range of organisations from local hospices and animal rescues, to national health and welfare charities.

A specialist in strategic fundraising, Susan has a proven track record of delivering growth and transformation. As Executive Director of Fundraising at Target Ovarian Cancer (2014–2022), she led a successful income diversification strategy, resulting in a doubling of income. Prior to that, she held senior roles at Teenage Cancer Trust, RNLI, RSPCA and others, bringing a deep understanding of income generation at scale.

Susan began her journey in the sector as a volunteer and remains values-driven in her leadership. She is passionate about developing the next generation of fundraising leaders, particularly supporting fundraisers into senior roles, including the Chief Executive position.

"It's an honour to be a mentor for The Elischer Foundation. I wish I had access to something like this when I started out in the sector. Supporting future leaders is critical to the resilience and impact of our work—today and in the years to come."
