Katie Bowyer

Katie is an experienced senior leader in the not-for-profit sector, currently Director of Development at London Wildlife Trust, where she leads the fundraising, marketing and communications functions. Prior to this she was responsible for developing an ambitious transformation programme for fundraising and supporter engagement at British Red Cross. She has experience across all major fundraising and marketing disciplines, with particular expertise in strategy and transformation, supporter and audience experience and innovation.

In the past she has held senior fundraising roles at British Red Cross, Diabetes UK and Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity, and has worked in a range of other UK charities including NSPCC and Bliss. She is a trustee of TreeAid and a member of the advisory panel for Missing People. She is also a qualified coach and is passionate about using her skills as a coach and mentor to help the sector to thrive.

The great leaders can’t do everything; they are the ones who look to others to help them. Great leaders don’t see themselves as great; they see themselves as human.
