Aisling Nolan is the Executive Director & Director of Development of St James’s Hospital Foundation, Ireland's largest acute adult hospital. She is also Immediate Past President and current National Communications Officer of Soroptimist International ROI, a global volunteer organisation which works to enhance the lives of women and girls worldwide. Soroptimist International holds General Consultative Status at the United Nations (ECOSOC) — one of the highest levels of recognition for a non-governmental organisation — allowing it to influence global policy and champion gender equality, human rights, and sustainable development at the highest international levels.
An award-winning fundraiser, she has generated over €50 million for Irish charities, making a transformative impact across the sector. Her career includes senior roles with GOAL, Focus Ireland, and Galway University Foundation, where she led major campaigns and built lasting donor relationships. She also serves on the Board of OutHouse LGBT+ Centre, Ireland’s national LGBT+ Centre, supporting their vision of a future where LGBTQ+ people are safe, seen, and celebrated.
Aisling holds a BA from NUI Galway, an MA from Queen’s University Belfast and Charles University Prague, as well as a Certificate in Fundraising and a Professional Diploma in Fundraising Management from the European Fundraising Association.
She is a former mentee of the Elischer Foundation and is delighted to now act as a mentor for the programme.
