Laura Burke
Laura is the Director of Fundraising at Bookmark Reading Charity, having progressed through the organisation after starting as a Corporate Partnerships Executive six years ago. Today, she oversees Bookmark’s entire income portfolio, with a strategic focus on high-value philanthropy and corporate partnerships.
Laura began her career in sales, where she developed the foundational skills that translated naturally into fundraising. Wanting to make more of an impact in the world, she moved into the charity sector, which felt like a natural next step. She hasn’t looked back since.
Outside of her role at Bookmark, Laura is Trustee of The Caerlow Trust, a grant-giving organisation dedicated to addressing the challenges of homelessness, hunger, and addiction.
