A history graduate from the University of Cambridge, Jane began her career in non-fiction book publishing. She grew programmes and income in editorial, commissioning and management roles, latterly heading up the commercial publishing arm at The National Archives. Jane discovered fundraising while volunteering during a career break, passed the Certificate in Fundraising with Distinction, and has now worked in the sector for over ten years. A specialist in trusts and major gifts, she increased fundraising income significantly at Read for Good; she has also supported a range of health and welfare causes at Wootton George Consulting. In 2025, Jane took up the newly created position of Head of Fundraising at the education charity Get Further.
