Diane Bond
Diane is the Director of Development at Bootham School where she is developing and growing the school’s fundraising function, including strengthening its major donor work and refreshing its approach to regular giving. She has worked across stewardship, trusts and grants and campaign management in higher education, culture, health and the wider charity sector. Most recently she led stewardship for major donors and corporate partners at The King’s Trust. Throughout her career the thread that ties her work together is a deep belief that every young person deserves a chance.
At Bootham she is focused on raising money for transformational bursaries that open doors for children from disadvantaged backgrounds. She is proud to be laying the foundations for a culture of philanthropy in a school community with kindness and equality at its heart.
Diane applied to the mentoring programme because leadership can sometimes feel lonely and she wants to keep growing.

Favourite Leadership Quote
“They were changed men themselves before they went about to change others.” - William Penn
I am ambitious and want to be the best fundraiser and leader I can be. Having a mentor would give me space to reflect, ask questions and learn from someone who has been there.
