Katie Harding
Katie began her career founding a social enterprise for women’s skills development and then meandered into a career in fundraising.
She now leads fundraising at Clergy Support Trust, where she was recently appointed to build the fundraising function, create strategy and design new giving communities to grow the Trusts impact. Her place on the Elischer Foundation programme couldn’t have come at a better time!
Previously, Katie was Philanthropy & Partnerships Manager at Mary’s Meals UK, where she developed its strategy for Donor Advised Funds and strengthened key donor relationships. Earlier in her career, she spent five years in Malaysia leading education access programmes for low-income and refugee communities, including a mentorship-based higher education model later adopted by UNHCR.
What excites Katie about fundraising is how collaborative and relational it is — enabling generosity and connecting people to the causes they care about most.

“I refuse to believe that you cannot be both compassionate and strong.”
- Jacinda Ardern
I’m excited to be joining the Elischer Foundation programme and for the opportunity to gain insight from others over the next year. I want to challenge myself to grow as a leader and push myself outside of my comfort zone. This feels like the right time to reflect, build my confidence, and hear different perspectives from the sector.
