Hannah Sanders
With nearly 20 years of experience across fundraising - from face-to-face street fundraising to events, community, corporate partnerships and philanthropy — Hannah has led income generation at both international household names like Comic Relief and Save the Children, and smaller, dynamic charities such as Smart Works and Rape Crisis South London. For the past five years, Hannah has headed up fundraising teams, driven by a deep-rooted commitment to fairness, human rights and social justice.
Hannah is now building a fundraising and communications directorate from scratch, with a bold new brand and a cause that demands urgent action. It’s a rare, exciting opportunity — but one she doesn’t want to navigate alone. So many brilliant leaders have gone before her and built models that sustained change for decades. Hannah wants to learn from that legacy and be inspired by her mentor and fellow mentees.

Favourite Leadership Quote
"Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference."
- Reinhold Niebuhr
The Elischer Foundation mentor programme feels perfectly primed for this moment in my journey. I bring high energy, creativity, and a wide breadth of experience — but I also know I have gaps. I’m excited to work with a mentor to shape a sustainable income and comms model that will secure the charity’s future for the next 40 years.
