Ben Youell
Ben started working in the charity sector straight out of 6th form, after deciding to take time out of education before heading to university. Over 8 years later, he still hasn’t gone to university and has had the pleasure of working in a variety of fundraising roles across three incredible charities. Ben spent 5 years at Alzheimer’s Research UK working in community and digital fundraising. He is currently working at parkrun Global to lead and develop their new fundraising function.

I applied to this mentoring programme because I want to strengthen my leadership and influencing skills to become a more confident, strategic advocate for the causes I care about. I feel so lucky to work in this sector where peer support is so encouraged as it has benefitted my development enormously. My hope is for my development to facilitate more impact for the charities I work for.
