Sue, a marketing graduate, transitioned from private and public sector marketing communications to the charity sector in 2012 when she joined the Macular Society. Progressing to the role of Head of Engagement, she has honed her skills in strategic messaging, campaign management, audience engagement and fundraising. Her current role gives her the opportunity to oversee initiatives that bridge communication, engagement, and fundraising, ensuring impactful messages resonate with the right audience at the right time. Sue leads the audience engagement strategy including social media activity, lead generation strategies and ongoing journeys that lay the foundation for donor support, while also managing the team responsible for the Society’s creative and content output.
