Bethan Hazell
Australia
A six-week internship at Melbourne's Lost Dogs’ Home, as part of her PR degree, ignited Bethan’s interest in a career in fundraising.
After 12 years, and multiple fundraising roles at the Home, Bethan moved to a generalist fundraising role at the Centre for Eye Research Australia.
In 2015 Bethan was appointed as Gifts in Wills and Estates Manager at Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation.
Here, Bethan has found her niche. Her role encompasses both strategy and operations, driving significant future income for Australia’s largest cancer research centre. An active member within the Australian gifts in Wills space, Bethan presents at conferences, sits on various committees, and mentors new fundraisers.
Why apply?
“Throughout my career, I’ve worked with some brilliant leaders who have inspired and empowered me to become the fundraiser I am today. I want to be that leader for others. The TEF mentoring programme will help me further my leadership and strategic thinking skills, giving me the confidence to become a sector leader.”
